Your Team Tokens
A creator launched a token on Chain Daddy and kept part of it for their team, and you're on it. This page is for you: the mod, the editor, the artist, the bandmate.
What you were given
An amount of the creator's token, locked for your wallet. The token itself holds it, not the creator and not Chain Daddy, and lets it out to your wallet bit by bit, on a schedule the creator picked when they launched.
That's fixed at launch: the token has no function to change whose tokens they are, or the schedule.
What "locked" means
Locked tokens are still held by the token for you. You can't sell or send them yet. Once you claim them, they're in your wallet like any other token, and yours to keep, send or sell.
When you can claim
Each schedule starts on launch day:
- Nothing during the wait, the first week or the first month.
- Then a part every week, or every month, until all of it is out.
Your tokens unlock a little every day, so there's no rush: wait longer between claims and you claim more at once.
A creator can put the team on up to 4 schedules, and you may be on more than one. Your card adds them up.
Every week
You were given 12,000,000 tokens on every week for 12 weeks:
| Day | You can claim |
|---|---|
| Before day 7 | Nothing yet |
| 7 | 1,000,000 |
| Each week after | 1,000,000 more |
| 84 | The last 1,000,000. All 12,000,000 are out |
Every month
You were given 6,000,000 tokens on every month for 6 months. A month here is 30 days:
| Day | You can claim |
|---|---|
| Before day 30 | Nothing yet |
| 30 | 1,000,000 |
| Every 30 days after | 1,000,000 more |
| 180 | The last 1,000,000. All 6,000,000 are out |
Claim on day 45 of that one and you get 1,500,000 at once.
How to claim
- Sign in with the wallet the creator named. Named by
@handle? It's the wallet that handle showed on your profile when the token launched. - Open the token's page, or My Tokens at chaindaddy.io/_tokens. The card Your locked TICKER shows what's Ready to claim, what's Still locked, and when your next claim opens.
- Press Claim and confirm in your wallet. One claim collects from every schedule you're on.
The claim is your wallet's own transaction, so it pays the network fee (gas). Keep a little of that chain's coin in the wallet.
You should see the claimed amount leave Ready to claim, and the tokens in your wallet.
In My Tokens
Tokens you're on the team for are under On the team for, each opening to the same card, with a link to the token's page.
If your account holds more than one wallet, the row may say "Your tokens here are locked for 0x…. Connect that wallet to claim." Connect that one, and the card opens.
Not listed? Open the token's page: the card is always there for the wallet it's locked for.
From a Safe or the command line
If the creator named a Safe (a shared wallet that needs several keys), claim with the CLI:
chaindaddy launchpad release --chain <id> --token <token address> --beneficiary <your Safe> --rpc <url>It shows what is ready and builds the release. Any wallet can send it with --signer, and it always pays the Safe.
The card shows nothing
- Another wallet is signed in. Signing in by email makes a wallet of its own, which isn't the one the creator named unless they named that one. Connect the named wallet.
- Nothing is locked for that wallet. Ask the creator which wallet they named. Tokens locked for a wrong wallet can't be moved, by them or anyone.
- Before your first claim, the card still shows what's locked, and the date your first claim opens.
Tokens a creator locked for you after launch, from their token's Vesting settings, also show on that token's page, on the same card.
