Report a Coin

If a coin's page pretends to be something it isn't, or looks like it is being used to take holders' money, you can report it. A person at Chain Daddy reads every report.

How to report

  1. Sign in.
  2. Open the coin's page and choose Report, beside the coin's chain and tags.
  3. Pick what is wrong and, if it helps, add a note (up to 500 characters): a link, a transaction, what you saw.
  4. Choose Send report.

Each account can send 5 reports a day. Reporting the same coin again while your report is open does not add a second one.

The categories

CategoryMeans
ImpersonationThe coin pretends to be another coin, project or person.
ExtractionThe creator or insiders appear to be taking holders' money.
Illegal contentThe page appears to carry illegal content.
OtherAnything else a reviewer should see.

What happens next

A report changes nothing by itself. A person reviews it, usually within a day, and decides one of three things:

  • Flagged. The coin is labelled Flagged with the category, on its page and in search. The page stays up.
  • Paused. Only for a page that appears to carry illegal content. The page shows a notice instead of its content until the review ends.
  • No action. Nothing changes.

One decision answers every open report on the same coin. We don't tell the creator who reported.

What a Flagged label means

Flagged: a person at Chain Daddy reviewed reports about this coin and labelled it with the category shown. Hover or tap the label for its one-line definition.

A coin can carry other labels from its creator record; each is shown with its definition.

If your coin is flagged or paused

Write to support@chaindaddy.io from the account that holds the coin, with what the reviewer should know. A person reads it and can remove the label or end the pause.
