How your coin starts trading
When you launch a coin, Chain Daddy creates the coin and its pool: where it is bought and sold, with your coins on one side and ETH (SOL on Solana) on the other. Each trade moves the price. How trading opens, on the launch form, decides how that pool starts.

| Option | Chains | Buying starts | Must raise | Can it close |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Robinhood | First block, at the price you set | Nothing | No |
| Protected open: decaying fee | Robinhood; any EVM chain with Boost | At once; an 80% fee falls to normal over 10 minutes | Nothing | No |
| Protected open: Dutch auction | Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, without Boost | At once, at a falling price, for 7 days | 0.1 ETH (0.1 BNB on BNB Chain) by day 7 | Yes, if it falls short |
| Solana | Solana | First buy | Nothing; moves to a permanent pool at 86 SOL | No |
Chains as of Nov 1, 2026. The launch form names what your chain runs.
Standard
- Trades from the first block at your opening price, which you set as a starting market cap.
- For the first hour, one wallet can buy at most 2% of the supply.
- Nothing to raise. Nothing closes the pool.
Protected open: decaying fee
- Trades at once. The fee starts at 80% of each trade and falls to your pool's fee over 10 minutes, so a bot buying in the first seconds pays most of its trade as a fee.
- Nothing to raise. Nothing closes the pool.
Protected open: Dutch auction
- A 7-day auction. The price starts high and falls until buyers step in.
- Raises 0.1 ETH by day 7: it graduates to a permanent pool. Your fees and Boost start there.
- Falls short: the pool closes for good. Buying stops; holders can sell back at the auction's average price. Reopen trading, or launch a new coin.
- While it is below the minimum, your coin page shows how much it has raised and when it ends, and you are told 3 days and 1 day before the end.
Solana
- A bonding curve: the price follows a formula, rising as people buy and falling as they sell. Trades from the first buy.
- At 86 SOL raised it moves to a permanent pool. No deadline. Nothing closes it.
Words
- Pool: where your coin trades. Liquidity: what the pool holds; more means each trade moves the price less.
- Opening price: the price at the first trade. You set it as a starting market cap, $5,000 to $10 million.
- Graduate: move into a permanent pool, a locked pool with no conditions and no end.
- Team allocation: supply you keep, unlocked on a schedule. Details
- Network fee: what the chain charges per transaction, paid in its own coin.
