Your First Launch

Launch your token in two steps, starting from the box on the home page. You say what you make and answer three questions, check one page, then sign in and launch. It costs nothing up front. What you get

1. Type the name

Open chaindaddy.io, type your token's name in the box, and pick Launch with its name, like Launch MOON.

Typed a name that isn't a ticker, like "Moon Cats"? The next screen asks for a ticker once, and fills one in from the name (MOONCATS). You can change the name and the ticker on every screen.

If MOON already has a verified page, the row says so. That doesn't stop you: yours gets its own verified page too, at a longer address.

2. Say what you make

Pick one: Streams, Games, Art, Music, A brand or A meme. It decides the three questions you get, about how creators like you get paid and who helps you.

3. Answer three questions

The first question takes several answers ("Pick all that fit"). The other two take one. Each answer folds into a line that says what it set. Press Change on a line to answer again.

Only three things you choose become settings of your token: the chains (on the next screen), a team share and where the trading fees go. Everything else goes on your Set up next list, for your page once the token is live.

A question aboutWhat your answer sets
How you get paid: subs, tips, a pass, items, commissionsNothing on the token. It goes on Set up next
Who helps you: mods, an editor, a team, a band, friendsA team share: 5%, 10% or 20% of the supply kept for your team, locked and unlocking on a schedule. Just me keeps none. You name each person on the next screen. Team allocation
Prizes for top players (Games)10% kept for you on a schedule, so you have tokens to give as prizes from your own wallet
Making it with other artists (Art)A partner or A collective: you name them on the next screen, with the part of your trading fees each one takes. Share the fees
Where the trading fees go (A meme)To me, Shared with holders, or Burn. Burning is a choice about your own fees: it lowers what you can claim. Where the buybacks go
What your fans or holders getNothing on the token. It goes on Set up next

A line that ends Needs Pro. is something your page can do on a paid plan. Token Plans

Not every chain can share fees with holders or burn. When yours can't, the answer says so: on those chains the fees go to you.

4. Pick a weekly goal

With every question answered, pick a weekly goal: $50, $200, $500 or $1,000. The guide works out what bringing that in would take, in what you said you sell: so many fans on a pass, so many tips, or so much of your token traded in a week. Any one of them, or a mix.

These are examples to plan with, not promises. Fine print

Press Continue. The button stays at the bottom of the screen, and while something is missing it says what ("Pick what you make", "2 questions to go").

5. Check the launch page

Step 2 is the launch page, with your answers read back at the top. Here you:

  • Add a picture, and check the name and ticker.
  • Pick where it lives. Press Change beside Lives on. Each chain says whether the name is free there, and who pays to launch. Pick the one your community already uses, or several: the pages link into one. Chains
  • Check your plan. Your plan shows yours, and what your answers need beyond it. Launchpad fees by plan
  • Have a code? A code here can start a free trial of a plan. Codes
  • Name your team, if you kept a team share. Press Name them to add each person by wallet or verified @handle, with their part, and pick how it unlocks: every week or every month. With nobody named, it is all held for you. Team allocation
  • Name who shares the fees, if you answered A partner or A collective. Rows left empty share nothing. Share the fees

See all the numbers opens the details: how the supply is split, what each side gets of every $100 in trading fees, the starting price, and what is fixed at launch. Its last line, Launch a plain token, is the advanced path for running your own liquidity.

See all the settings opens the full launch form, filled in with everything above. Back to the short version brings you back. Every setting

6. Sign in and launch

  1. Press Sign in to launch, and sign in with email, Google, Apple or X. A wallet is made for you. Have one already? Press Use a wallet I already have.
  2. The button now reads Launch MOON. Press it.
  3. Check what the confirmation lists, above all every wallet named for your team: a wrong wallet can't be changed later. Then confirm in your wallet if it asks.

Signed in with email or a social account, the launch is sent for you on Base, Arbitrum, Robinhood and Solana, so you pay no network fee. Who pays the network fee

You should see Manage your token, with a Set up next list under it.

7. Set up next
